"Life is no bed of roses"
Site specific installation made for exhibition “Opnieuw bekeken” @Museum Swaensteyn in Voorburg.
Under a sky of porcelain roses and on a bed of thorns, as transparent as possible so the portrait of Princess Marianne's beloved Johannes remains visible. A four-poster bed where your fantasy is stimulated and you can let your own imagination continue to speak. Responding to Princess Marianne of Orange’s eventful and progressive life, perhaps financially easy, that was certainly not the case emotionally. She chose love even though the price was high.
